Consumption of endangered species by humans behind coronavirus outbreak, says experts

Experts in both China as well as the rest of the world have raised alarm against the consumption of wild animals in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

The source of coronavirus infection is a seafood market in Wuhan, which has been closed down is believed to have a wild animal section, where live and slaughtered species were sold.

Wild animals such as live wolf pups, golden cicadas, scorpions, bamboo rats, squirrels, foxes, civets, hedgehogs (probably porcupines), salamanders, turtles, and crocodiles, etc were sold in the Da Zhong market.
