The BBC is going ahead with its plans to broadcast some selected Wimbledon matches in 3D. The BBC is taking the endeavour as part of a two-year trial of the 3D technology. In the beginning, only semi-finals and finals have been singled out for airing. The service can be accessed by anyone with a 3D TV and subscription to the BBC’s HD Red Button service. The announcement for Wimbledon in 3D comes as part of the commitment made by BBC recently to deliver the most comprehensive digital coverage of the tennis tournament this year.
