The London based Guardian newspaper alleges that a 29-year-old American working as a contractor for the National Security Agency is acting as its source of leaks on the U.S. government’s surveillance programs.

The newspaper said that it is revealing Edward Snowden’s identity only after he himself requested it.
Snowden has reportedly said “I have no intention of hiding who I am because I know I have done nothing wrong.”
The Guardian told that Snowden is now in Hong Kong and that he is hoping to get asylum in Iceland. The NSA has filed a criminal report with the Justice Department in relation to the leaks asking for an investigation to take place.
