It isn’t easy for a 13-year-old to play the guitar after only four years of practice. However Justin Weed has left behind even pro’s with his determination.
In April, the middle school student came on top in the Dallas International Guitar Festival’s contest for participants under the age of 20. According to the Denton Record-Chronicle, Weed has won 15 hours of recording time in a Dallas school’s studio and is also given an opportunity to perform in next year’s festival.
To qualify for the contest, Justin submitted a video entry. You can watch the same Justin’s audition in the video below. He played an original solo piece in the video and titled it as the “Hendrixian Blues,” after the name of his idol Jimi Hendrix.
