Tech Giants Facebook, Google team up to launch political advocacy group

People placed in higher rungs of Facebook, Google, and other tech giants today have announced their intention of coming together to form a political advocacy group, the idea behind initiating the group is to promote policies that will keep the American personnel competitive. The first priority for bipartisan group is to push for immigration reform, but it will also support education reform and scientific research as well.

The information about Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s involvement in the formation of the group was leaked and first published two weeks ago by the San Francisco Chronicle. Among it’s many activities it also aims to connect with the tech community in online advocacy, policy and fundraising.

An op-ed written by Mark Zuckerberg was published in the Washington Post this morning. The written piece described role “to build the knowledge economy the US needs to ensure more jobs, innovation and investment.”
