Ga. Gunman held firefighters hostage on gunpoint, SWAT kills gunman and rescues firefighters


Five firefighters answered one medical emergency in a north Atlanta neighborhood on Wednesday. Authorities told that they encountered an armed man who demanded that his house cable and power be turned back on which was in foreclosure.

Eventually, the firefighters were held for hours out of which only one firefighter was allowed to leave. As the police feared that the remaining firefighters were in danger, SWAT teams were sent off who stormed the house, and the gunman was shot dead during an exchange of gunfire.
