Lance Armstrong asks court to dismiss $12Mn SCA lawsuit after stripping away from Tour de France titles


Lance Armstrong has asked a Texas court to dismiss court case by a Dallas based promotions company seeking repayment of more than $12 million. The amount was paid as bonuses to Armstrong for winning the Tour de France.

SCA Promotions has taken legal action against Armstrong and his manager Bill Stapleton in Dallas state district court in February, claiming Armstrong conned by using performance-enhancing drugs to win the Tour seven times.

SCA paid Armstrong’s team management company Tailwind Sports for winning those titles, which have been now stripped away from the triathlon sportsman.
