As soon as an unexploded World War II bomb was found near the Berlin’s main railway station, trains in Berlin were either stopped or diverted. This affected thousands of commuters.
The bomb was found on a building site late on Tuesday. The area around the 100kg (220-pound) Soviet made bomb was cordoned off to ensure safety of the people.
The disturbance caused by the discovery affected rail traffic and flights were diverted from the Tegel airport.
German experts later told that they had defused the bomb safely.
