George Clooney apparently paid the dinner bill of a German businessman who was sitting next to the 51 year old Hollywood star. Clooney (academy award winner) went to this restaurant (Grill Royal) in Berlin with some of his friends on the weekend. Perhaps he thought that he and his gang of friends may have disturbed the other people present in the restaurant during their meal.
As a result to make up for the disturbance, he paid the dinner bills of people sitting near to their as a courteous gesture. The German Newspaper “Bild” reported of the incident and reported George Clooney’s payment of $135 towards the dinner bills of these people. The newspaper however also noted that George Clooney’s gang wasn’t that unruly in the first place to have prompted the payment.
This act of generosity and humble behavior is however nothing new for Clooney. Clooney is currently present in Germany for the filming of his upcoming film “The Monuments Men,” The movie is about a group of art experts who take upon them the task of saving precious artworks from being destroyed by the Nazis. Clooney is not just acting in the film but is also directing it. Other actors in the movie include Daniel Craig of the James Bond 007 franchise and Cate Blanchett (academy award winner).
