Schools in Washtenaw County cited the extreme Icy weather created mess on Ann Arbor roadways as a reason to keep the schools closed. Same is the story of every other school that falls in the region.
Schools believe that this kind of weather is dangerous and it is better if students stay indoors. Liz Margolis, Spokesperson, Ann Arbor school said, “The road conditions, especially in the outer areas of the district, are extremely dangerous,”
Apart from the Ann Arbor school about 400 schools remained closed in southeast Michigan on Monday. The snowfall first and rain later in the region led to sudden fall in temperatures.
Also a driving advisory (slippery driveways) has been issued for drivers from Sunday evening 7pm to 6am.
