Supreme Court asked Indian Government to set up Special court for Italian Marines case-global-annal

 

In what is been considered as a setback for Italian Marines, the Supreme Court has rejected the plea made by Indian Government stating that Indian courts have no jurisdiction over the case.

The Supreme Court has however agreed on the premise that Kerela Court has no jurisdiction over the issue and observed that Indian Government must set up a special court to hear the case after consulting CJI.
