-Former Columbia Goalkeeper, Miguel Calero (41) died in Mexico City Hospital after suffering from a stroke a week ago.
-He had also played for a decade for the Mexican club Pachuca and had retired in 2011 and taken up the position of a goalkeeping coach.
-While playing his club won 4 league titles and regional tournament Copa Sudamericana.
-Calero underwent heart surgery but was announced brain dead by doctors on Monday.
– Pachuca club issued a statement that said “Miguel Calero is at the center of a great era in the history of Pachuca,”
– Miguel Calero has played for team Mexico 50 times in his career and was also part of the 1998 world cup squad (last time when Columbia qualified for world cup)
