-BMW has decided to recall 29,800 X5 SUVs after National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said that the bolt supporting engine idler pulley is lose which could lead to losing power steering function in the car.
-The particular model that’s affected with the malfunctioning part is diesel model xDrive 35d manufactured during 2009-12. BMW said about the bolt that it may loosen over time and break or weaken in low temperatures.
-BMW Canada had received 9 reports from dealers and 76 warranty claims relating to the bolt. The replacement process will however start in January and affected consumers can call on 1-800-525-7417. Gasoline models of X5 are not affected by this malfunction.
