UK chancellor announces policy for faster broadband network across UK

-UK chancellor George Osborne has announced policy to install  super-fast fibre networks.


-In his Autumn Statement Osborne said that the fibre network will be established in 12 smaller cities with £50Mn.

-Osborne also told that the treasury is expected to make about £3.5Bn through 4G auction.

– UK government wants UK to have the fastest broadband network in Europe till 2015. Cities chosen for the installation includes Brighton and Hove, Cambridge, Coventry, Derby, Oxford, Portsmouth, Salford, York, Newport, Aberdeen, Perth and Londonderry.
