Georges St. Pierre, the UFC welterweight champion has defeated Carlos Condit (interim title holder) in the UFC 154 main event.
- The fight between the two was gruesome and spilled blood. It is important to note here that Pierre was fighting after 19 months in this fight and still manages to win and make a comeback.
- St-Pierre (23-2 MMA, 17-2 UFC) has defeated Condit (28-6, 5-2 UFC) in Bell Centre that also happens to be St-Pierre’s home.
- The result of this fight may put up St. Pierre against middle weight champion Anderson Silva in the next fight.
- The final decision was unanimous in favor of St. Pierre with scores of 49-46, 50-45 and 50-45. Pierre had two judges voted in his stride out of three.
